Year 11 GCSE Citizenship
Year 11 GCSE Citizenship students have had the opportunity to participate in a live workshop with the UK Parliament. This was an interactive online session with staff from the UK Parliament covering key GCSE content about Politics and Participation, including how the UK Parliament works, how laws are made and the role of MP’s. It was an excellent opportunity to participate in a private session live in the classroom and offered discussion opportunities for the students in relation to the content. The students engaged well with the session and really appreciated the chance to have specialist input in this new format. As you can imagine the session included discussion about topical issues like the Covid lockdown rules and Marcus Rashford’s campaign for free school meals, and the students responded excellently throughout.
